Whats going on down at the Camber?

Does anyone know whats going on down at the Camber? Theres major building going on, they've dug up the trailer park, and they're building a new bit of flood wall. There were RNLI banners all over the builders fences when I went down there - made me think that the RNLI were building something?

Waved at two dodgy looking characters in a stereotypical drug dealer car when I dropped a rib off earlier. Looked like they were enjoying the rain!

Cheeky git, we were waiting for Steve to bring his trailer round to collect his Ribcraft after the trip back from Alderny and besides it was not us cruising the back streets of Portsmouth. we were waiting watching the end of the Grand Prix on TV.

As far as I know the RNLI aren't building anything there - could be the banners are related to Portsmouth's Lifeboat Week - IIRC they brought their Atlantic round to Gunwharf for part of it.

There is some info (Jan 2006) here:

Cheers
