The really scary thing is that the cat doesn't really blink, making it appear like an evil robot!

Personally, my New Year entertainment is watching the adverts for the magazines that allow you to make a model of HMS Victory or collect every James Bond film, etc., I have a competition with a friend to spot the biggest total of (number of issues per year) x (cost of each issue) - some of the totals are blinkin' gobsmacking!

Don't forget, on this side of the pond we have our own humour involving cats and shops.

I suspect it's a plot to keep people from shopping there. More time off for the "associates".

They do have a big boat - I saw it once in Antigua. So many special forces around it you could hardly see the boat!

Surely Tesco's ad should be a contender? Would win 'worst make up'. The older scenes - the actors look like they put their heads in BeRo flour!

No - there is no plausible explanation. Walmart is a strange place. Maybe they've moved past exploiting low income wage earners to cats? No worries - as soon as the yodeling cats organize and form a union, we'll see another theme...

BTW the Joe Boxer ad is fabulous! I watched several times

The Walton's? I think I saw that boat in Monterey, CA one weekend. As I recall, one small room at the stern corner filled with probably a dozen security monitors (oddly vacant when I walked by.) No spec-ops guys there though.
