Would you buy shares in Activision Blizzard (ATVI)

I have absolutely no share-dealing experience, however I'm appealing to anyone with a 'little knowledge' of the software games market.

Currently Activision Blizzard shares (as on Monday are $12.34). Trading on the US Dow Jones - I'm anticipating a generous return (if left until 2010) on a modest investment of £1,000 when they launch Call of Duty Modern Warfare for the X-Box and PS3 in the Autumn. From what I can research - they could sell as much as 11 million copies. At £45 for a copy of the game - that's a lot.

Their share price increased after the launch of Call of Duty 4 and peaked at $17 in September 2008 before everything went tits up. Modern Warfare 2 is highly anticipated with a loyal online gaming community still playing Call of Duty 4.

Any view or opinions?

So many things can change the share price as can currency fluctuations.

I have made/lost/made and lost again a small fortune in shares - if you have a spare 1k it's well worth a punt. They are well established and it should be a big hit - providing something silly doesn't happen - which it can!!!

For example in Australia their crackpot Labour government have brought in the Great Australian Firewall - similar to China's and Iran's. One of the things it will do is block all access to any online game rated at over 15s in case children play it - yes even for adults!!!
