Wow is the true wind speed?

I looked at Bramblemet today, I know it was windy but it shows at 11 am wind speeds near 90mph- Is this true- I tried to copy the link as follows
http://www.bramblemet.co.uk/(nytwpg5...dvuf)/wind.htm

I don't understand why at that time, the gust speed was zero and the average speed was 90knots though - just seems a bit odd

Typically, one of our weather stations at work was hit by lightning and the annemometer stopped working at the end of last week, but one of the others down river was recording gusts of 82knots on Saturday morning.

Doubt it. We had a couple of gusts in the harbour last night and this morning of 53 and 55 Knots. (storm 10)

Bramble banks instruments were probably hit by one of the huge scorpions up there!
