Brief description:
This capable craft was built new by Scorpion Boats in Lymington in 2003 for a peer of the realm to his specific requirements for a pleasure cruising boat in the Mediterranean.
In 2014 the craft was returned to Scorpion for a complete ‘no expense spared’ refit and two of the latest hydraulically operated Yanmar sterndrives were fitted plus a new set of buoyancy tubes.
After the refit it commenced operating in the Mediterranean until earlier this year when the owner upgraded to a large motor cruiser and the Scorpion returned to the UK.
This craft is in exceptional condition largely as a result of been looked after and maintained to the highest levels by a permanently employed professional skipper.
Performance:
The Scorpion Sting is amongst the best sea boats of any 10m and their list of achievements proves their pedigree.
Round UK mainland record holder – round UK and Ireland record holder – London to Monte Carlo record holder – 2nd place twice in prodigious Cowes to Torquay and return race
With a top speed approaching 50 knots and an economical cruising speed of 35, this craft can safely cover long distances in comfort.
