2012/2018 Mercury Ocean Runner 420, Mercury 40 efi
Here we have our 2012 Mercury Ocean Runner 420 RIB which now has a 2018 Mercury 40hp fourstroke EFI which has only done up to 40 hours and has a full Mercury warranty which is transferable to the new owner. Note some photos are from last year with the old 30hp attached.
It comes with Garmin chartplotter and Garmin sonar and has a centre jockey seat which is the best for handling and weight distribution. There is a genuine Mercury full winter cover and a smaller cover just for the jockey seat and centre console. It has always been kept in coverage storage until recently and only used on our 2 week annual holidays and occasionally on the River Trent. The boat and engine has been washed down and flushed out after each use.
It has an additional winch to make beach launches easy and the car will never get wet. It is super easy to launch and recover and ideal size for a couple looking for a fun super safe little rib. It is fast and powerful yet easy to handle on the Snipe trailer. Ideal for family fun.
I replaced the wheels and tyres last year. The tubes are in excellent condition and do not lose air from season to season. The Speedo only worked on one occasion, I think there is a blockage in the pipe or pico tube, but this never bothered me as I prefer to use the GPS speed on the chart plotter, just needs blowing out with an airline. Incidentally the plotter has the upgraded uk maps for 2017 pre-installed.
There is a Mercury fuel filter, 25l fuel tank and a bilge pump fitted and two rod holders.
