Avon Searider Deluxe 4m - Yamaha 40hp - £4200 ono
Seafire is for sale - £4200 ono
Family commitments and not getting out enough mean I'm reluctantly selling my Avon Searider Deluxe (4 metre) RIB that comes with an electric trim tilt Yamaha 40hp 2 stroke engine.
Details (please also see the attached photos):
Boat - 1983 hull with original hyperlon tubes. Solid hull (but still has flooding feature).
Hull has some cosmetic marks as should be expected with a boat of this age, but nothing that affects it's integrity. Comes with A-frame and working navigation lights. Boat has been modified to hold the fuel tank within the central back rest with approximately 60L capacity. Currently trailered/covered and previously dry stacked for previous 10+ years. Tubes hold air really well (no issues at all) - all three baffles are intact and the valves are sound.
Engine - 40hp Yamaha VETO 2 stroke engine - 1995. Super responsive and runs well having had regular maintenance and upkeep. Recently had relays replaced and as a precautionary measure, had the powerhead/water jacket removed to ensure no waterways were clogged. Similarly, had the carbs fully cleaned when first bought (3 years ago) to ensure maximum efficiency. Fuel lines replaced 18 months ago. New impeller, spark plugs and fuel/water seperator put in June this year. Currently fitted with hydroplanes and has a strong tell tale - see photos. Other things of note: Trim/tilt is able to be operated from both the throttle lever and on the engine itself.
Trailer - Indespension trailer in good condition including the tyre tread - all functioning correctly. New trailer wheel bearings installed in June. Lightboard can be supplied if required.
Comes with additional items if wanted:
Anchor (danforth with chain and warp)
2 x Fenders
4 x self-inflating lifejackets
Garmin Montana 600 SATNAV - with instructions.
Entel HT644 Professional Submersible Marine Handheld VHF radio/transceiver - with instructions.
2 x oars
Duckcover boat cover
Prop bag
This is an absolutely fantastic setup - both a classic and a brilliant first boat. The modified fuel tank is a game changer bringing the weight forwards enabling the boat to get up on plane at 10knts. Will do 30 knts (dependant on weight in the boat) and has a fantastic hole shot due to the low weight 2 stroke yammy. Cruising at 26-28 knots is a dream. Regularly used in around the solent and will easily get to the Isle of Wight and back from Portsmouth which it has done multiple times. Gets numerous comments due to the uniqueness of the seating arrangement and because she's such a good looking vessel. Freshwater washed and engine flushed after every use - hyperlon conditioned annually.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via text, phone call or via this thread. Happy to send more photos or videos of the engine running etc. Viewing is highly recommended - sea trial available for serious buyers.

Thanks,
