Cobra 7.5M Nautique 2004/2005

Cobra 7.5M Nautique 2004/2005 with Yamaha HPDI 200HP outboard. - £24,995.00

A well-built cobra 7.5M Nautique rib for sale, built by Dave Picton from the factory in Wales. The Outboard is a 200HP Yamaha HPDI (hours) which is a very reliable V6 outboard design (described as bullet proof by service engineers, simple to maintain, service and gives great performance). Tubes are all in good condition, looks great and goes great.

Lots of money and time spent on upgrades to electronics and other area’s over the past few years.

I will be very sad to see her go but needs must due to a project requiring funds. I have had her for 10 years. Everything works except a couple of minor issues where noted.
Has been used from a dry stack for past 10 years, so clean hull etc.
Serviced yearly and new spark plugs twice a year. Genuine Yamaha oils and spare parts used.

No trailer. Possible option of taking over dry stack space in Poole.

All the usual cobra refinements plus many upgraded items and additions including;
• Removal of as many self tappers as possible (around lockers etc) replaced with marine grade stainless steel nuts, bolts and washers.
• New A frame fitted a few years ago. Has a water sports towing connection. (I’ve never used for water sports)
• Dual battery system with auto monitoring and charging unit. BEP Marine 716 cluster.
• Battery isolation switches fitted with emergency combine battery switch.
• New negative bus bar fitted, and independent fuse block fitted for all electrics.
• Yamaha 704 control box, new one a few years ago
• 12V stainless steel horn fitted into console with switch on console.
• New steering wheel fitted with power knob
• Carbon fibre effect panels on console
• Flagpole
• Raymarine E7D chart plotter and Navionics Gold card UK & Ireland, fitted with in hull transducer.
• Raymarine AIS 650 Class B Transceiver
• Raymarine AIS/GPS Antennae
• Raymarine AIS100 AIS/Antennae splitter fitted
• Fusion radio and iPod internal dock fitted with two powerful speakers
• Through deck drains fitted
• VHF Icom IC-M411 (see note below)
• NMEA 0183 communications connection box fitted.
• Shakespeare 1.2M Aerial fitted on fold down stainless steel bracket and quality gold plated connectors.
• Upgraded nav lights and steaming light fitted
• Silva 70P compass fitted on console
• Electronic heading compass fitted inside console (more accurate than plotter – transmits data to plotter) Digital Yachts HSC100
• Bilge pump, manual and auto functioning.
• Switches on console
o Console lights
o Nav lights
o Steaming light
o AIS by-pass (switch on to stop AIS unit transmitting your location, this is useful if in good weather in a harbour, so as not to bombard large shipping with your whereabouts and movements)
o Manual on bilge pump
o Automatic mode on bilge pump
Other Info
• Large folder full of receipts, wiring diagrams, manuals, history etc.
• Comes with
• Anchor and 8M chain + 30M anchor rope
• 4 fenders
• Storage boxes
• Boat cover
• Engine cover
• 4L two stroke oil, and hydraulic oil
• Engine freshwater cleaning attachment
• New stainless-steel Yamaha prop

Only bad bits are
• Rear bench seat needs re-upholstering, can be easily done by sandbanks marine on Hurn industrial estate. Front suicide seat and bow cushions are fine, re upholstered a year or so ago, infill cushions never been used are perfect. Helm and co helm seats OK for another year or two, rear bench seats need doing. If wanting the turquoise piping on seats in the future I will also throw in 3 and half roles of original turquoise piping material which is very rare, will be enough for several sets of seats to be done in the future.
• VHF/DSC enabled set currently installed is an older unit (Icom IC-M411), I removed a newer unit to get repaired (Icom IC-M423), this older set is fully functional, the white plate surrounding the unit in the photos is a temporary measure, under this plate is carbon fibre and hole mounting for the newer ICOM set IC-M423, so use older set or replace with newer set.
• Speedo does not work currently, either it’s the gauge itself (all other gauge functions work), or it’s the Pitot tube or some blockage somewhere. (Have been using the GPS speed, until I could get around to fixing the gauge)

A much-loved solid built rib which still looks great and goes very well. Will be gutted when she goes.

Can arrange a small trip out for serious potential buyers.

Pictures, some show before various mods.

Rib is located in Poole
