For sale is our much loved Zodiac 3.1m RIB that has been used as a tender regularly each year by us for the last 6 years.
With the arrival of our new boat last year this has been surplus to requirements and this year has only been used on two occasions this summer. As such the time has come for this great little package to move on to a new home.
It comes with oars, pump and fuel tank and the option to purchase the all over cover if the new owner wants one (made to measure for £600 last year). If not then this will be used on the tender that came with our boat.
Each winter the rib has been taken back to our home and kept garaged. I have bought the service pack from Yamaha and serviced it each year myself with the last service being performed in March 2021 (oil, filter plus gearbox oil). Since then the engine has probably run for less than 10 hours. The impeller pumps water well and this was not changed at that point.
Previous to our ownership a Raymarine depth sounder and Garmin colour chart plotter were fitted as well as composite teak decking. The sounder works perfectly however the Garmin screen needs some attention. It turns on and functions however the screen is blank.
The tubes have no repairs and hold air from one month to the next without the need for a top up.
The hull is in good shape however there has been one repair on the nose where I suspect it has been used against a beach. This hasn’t bothered me since it was always kept on chocks on the bathing platform of our boat and was out of sight.
The trailer tows without any noises or issues.
The engine fires on the first turn of the key and has always been reliable.
Overall it is a great little package and one which you will be hard pushed to find with the same specification.
