Changes To National Powerboat Scheme

Has everyone heard about the changes? Totally agree with all of them

As from 1st April all newly qualified Advanced Instructors required to have an MCA commercial license

Student to instructor ratios on intermediate and advanced courses reduced to 3-1.

never have worked to the 6 clients 2 boats idea. Didnt like the concept and the TC insurance here requires a suitably qualified and experienced instructor to be onboard at all times.

I'm with you all the way, Dave. We've always done the same ... 6 trainees = 2 boats and 2 instructors. I'm very pleased to see this become a requirement for everyone

We have always had a policy of 2 students per instructor per boat for all courses, unless it is a family group ot something like that where we will stretch it to 3.

This is just a personal thing with me but Ive always found it hard to get all the material covered in the suggested time with any more.
