The engines were/are an aboslute dream. I think we managed to get it down to 51L used on one trip - trimmed to perfection on a flat sea - about 26 miles ish and that includes running up at 40+ knots for between 5 & 10 minutes and all the accelaration from rest to a 25-30kn cruise.

Clearly the other end of the spectrum with the boat heavy was .. how canI say ....more .....

Come on Polwart - get down here and If I still have the Shearwater you can have a go in that too.. I can take you to the IOW to see the family ?? Either that or the little Avon - best not mention those though ...
