Help! Boat weight

Hi All,

New here..

Myself and my partner and trying to get a small guided tour business off the ground. We are based in Scotland and plan to operate on a large fresh water loch.

I've had an SCMS surveyor on site to code the vessel for use on inland waterways. We have one sticking point, hopefully someone here can help?

The boat is a 7.5m Delta rhib built in 1997 and we need the actual vessels total weight for stability testing purposes.

I have contacted Delta but due that year of build they no longer have the records.

I have all previous coding paperwork from previous owners and can only find the max crew and cargo weight.

Anyone any thoughts?

Many thanks in advance

Couldnt you just take it to a weighbridge & get it weighed?

Iam actually having trouble finding a weigh bridge in the Oban area that is accessible to public/other businesses.

I've enquired at a local quarry (after a morning calling round places) that may do it for a small fee but the fella I need to speak with isn't around until Monday.

Know any local grain farmers, they often have weigh bridges.
You could ask Dunstafnage Marina if there travel hoist has scales.

You can buy devices that can weigh the boat on the trailer buy placing it under each wheel
