Marine Stereo and Speakers - whats best?

For the last few years we have been running Fusion RA205 with an Amp running 2 pairs of speakers and another pair running directly off the head unit.

The issues are the speakers they are fusion and seem to be what everybody recommends. We had 6inch speakers but they kept blowing, then the 7inch seemed better but now have broken from vibrations.

Being a commercial outfit these get used everyday, and you want good sound at 30knots coupled with wind speed. We have probably gone through 6/7 pairs of speakers on two boats this season.

Our other operators out there having problems with Fusion, or is other products available that last longer, JL maybe?

Ive had two aquatic av units and one fusion unit in about 6 years, all start to fail over time due to elements, cracks in the platic and general wear and tear. I use my rib alot and find the music heads and speakers dont seem to stand the conditions as well as the material they make VHF sets etc out of. The fusion seems to be better made than the aquatic av.

You might be better off making some custom brackets for a new set of speakers and damp them down with rubber mounts etc.
