Outboard engine advice....

We are running two boats on twin 300hp verado's. Boat 1 is two years old and has done 1300hrs. Boat 2 is one year old and has done 800hrs. Both have been serviced as per warranty/manual regularly at around 130hr intervals and we have had very few problems.

For the small issues we have had Barrus have been great and we have been very impressed. There are drawbacks as changing gear/engine oils every 100hrs, full service every 300hrs gets expensive especially when it happens every 4 weeks per boat!
Twin engines are great that if you have a problem you always have the other engine, but being fourstroke there isn't much poke to get you onto the plane like two strokes could.

We operated with twin Evinrude Etec 200 previously - great power, decent for servicing and intervals but once over 1200hrs they were awful and inundated with problems. Also the back from BRP was terrible - very slow or non existent.

I would like advice from anyone operating the G2's commercially. What hrs have you done any problems would you recommend?

Alternatively are there other users out there that can recommend other options.

We look to trade in our boats every 3 years so want the engines to do around 2500hrs.
