Rates Of Pay

Can anyone advise what the going rate is to pay for a decent, full time (5 day week) skipper would be for a 6 month contract for charter work on an 8mtr rib and if anyone knows of suitable peeps?

Commercial Yachtmasters get paid £150 per day

Commercial Powerboat Helms depending on experience £100 /£125 per day
Always test them prior to giving them work a practical and theory type exam will put your mind at rest.

I know a guy but you have to pay him in Donuts...he will eat 25 Krispy Kreme's an hour on the hour for every hour he works!

Plus he will drink about 10 gallons of diet coke in the belief that he won't get fat!

Donuts do you know a guy called Andy Tricket, he'd be your man for finding a skipper, been arond the charter business for a long time. He runs SpareRibs and organises big events with up to 24 boats at a time.....he would know loads of skippers.

He's on this forum under AndyT but not an active member.
