RIB Coding for the 1st Time

Hi

We are thinking about having our 8m Humber RIB coded. Has anyone got any advice on where to get a list of what is needed to get it up to coded standard before we approach a surveyor. We plan to go for either Cat 4 or 3 depending on the cost implications.

Ta Pete

Pete from section 13 down will list all that you need safety wise If you need some advice call me 07970012591. I can't be arsed to do much typing but I would re,comend Searider to do the coding!

Don't know why he never buys me drinks, never calls to say hey buddy do want to thrash my Scorpion for an hour or so, oh yeah i remember he's very good and owns ribs therefor understands how the coding applies to us

I have been thinking of you Rogue

Hi Stuart,

I hope you are well.

Was thinking of you on Sunday when all of the racing boats were breaking down - you would have fitted right in

Have you had any joy with your insurers regarding your Scorpion?

We must get together some time - PM me when you think you'll be free one weekend and badger me into getting you back on the water in your second favourite boat!

Section 13 in the Document tells you what you need and why

coding is about 400 quid for the exam (it's a set charge by the MCA I think) and that's about it. I would hope your humber hull has already been type approved which wil save a some calculations

one question someone can perhaps answer for me. If the boat has a fuel tank in front consol under the seat as per humber normal sorta fit does it have to be s/s or will the 90litre plastic/polywhatever standard fit tank be sufficient. could do with knowing before I confirm an order which I need to do soon
