RYA course, wich and where.

Hi,
Received a RYA course for x-Mas (yes I know, a very understanding Santa) . Now I'd like to book it. I've several boat certicates and been ribbing and taking out divers for many years but never taken a course specialized in rib handelling. I live in Sweden and would appreciate tips on where to take a course (pref East coast), where I find the best rib-mates. Also experiences from a RYA course interesting. Planning do my course in March - April.

Thanks,
Matt

Hi Matt

Take a look at www.rya.org.uk all the centres are on this site, cant say I know any schools personally on the east coast.

For Information on various courses take a look at - http://www.professional-powerboat-tr.../powerboat.htm this should help.

When contacting the school make sure to ask-

What RIBS do they train you in & what age/conditions are the ribs?
Are the Instructors dedicated powerboat instructors or general watersport Instructors?
Are the classroom and faciliteies close to the water?

Hope this helps

Jono

Hi Matt I'm off to Aberdeen for a few days driving and shivering work, I am working with a friend of Dog's up there so I'll see if I can find out anything for you.

cheers
Stuart
