What is the going rate for safety boat cover full hire ie boat and skipper?
Not oil related.

Context?
Event, standby work, one person, two people, boat required etc all would be useful.
I know of people charging £350/hr for min of two hours for sport events. That said you only get a little rib with minimal endurance and little experience.

It depends if you are charging for a commercial job or trying to find local cover for a charity / local event.
There are loads of lifeguard / rescue clubs around that charge running costs only or will ask for a donation if it's for a non commercial venture.
A bit more info will help.

Alan, A friend of mine had to get a coded rib for a few weeks work on some harbourside construction last year. I think he paid £400/day.

We have seen a recent safety cover job go to someone who offered about 100-150 per day inc!!! When most operators were looking around 350-400 a day, some plus fuel, depends on each job and duration as a longer one will attract some discount for bookings. If a one day job , is it two crew needed? etc etc
Very dependent on everything when we quote

we charge £300 per 8 hour day (more at weekends) for coded boat +1 certified crew for standby/safety works within a certain inshore/river area.
If long term contract - we of course can be 'talked to'.

Around £150/day seems to be the going rate for a coded safety boat and 1 crew on a few of the long term contracts I have looked at.

Not worth the hassle for £150 a day all inc! Pay peanuts, get monkeys.

Something I offer depending on the job we have Lifeguards with paddle craft Inshore rescue boat and Rescue water craft (PWC) AED O2 qualifications also have coded boats from Ribs to 12metre offshore catamarans.
Each job is priced on requirements so more info would be useful.
Some of you who offer rescue services might be interested in the Royal Lifesaving Society National Water Safety Management Award.
Cheers
Tim

Did not realise you ran the courses to the paying public thought it was just volunteer members.
Well done though , very hard to keep a set up like Gaffirs going with out the support from the volunteer section.

Courses are designed for members but through affiliation to the NGBs can arrange / put people in touch with trainers of both the BCU and RLSS.
