SRC/VHF certificate gestation period

Can anybody tell me how long it takes for Offcom to produce a VHF license from the submission of the fee and application form/ exam pass?

A couple or three weeks I think. Our boys took it last year.

This one was my fault - I did the course for Paul (via Stu) short notice, then in typical disorganised style disappeared off to the arse end of beyond (Cornwall) having not posted off the license application.

Add in a hectic 9 days with poor phone signal, and I let Rogue down on this one; but thankfully the situation was resolved in the nick of time. No error/delay on the RYAs part, just me!

:)

good to see everyone sorted, and nice of Jimbo to come up and say his piece - I can relate to the 'filling in at short notice' bit, and then chasing stuff through as you do work you already had booked in

Now, now Jimbo. We Cornish could get offended. (Unless of course the brackets are a typo in which case it all becomes clear ... as anywhere beyond Cornwall would indeed fall into that category you describe)

your'e so sweet

It would have been nicer of him to have got his sh*t together! Course Sat on the 8th February documentation retrieved towards the end of March. Not good and not 9 days as Jimbo's post suggests. Open request placed for course on 2 feb for 7 -9 th feb to which jimbo responded.

Eh! Less of the 'arse ends'.
'Local' phones work fine.
