Hi has anyone worked on the vector boats?

Have been offered an AB job on the RSV or deckhand on the ARRC?

which should I take?

I don't know the boats but the AB job has got to look better in your discharge book/CV. I would have thought the AB position also gives you a stronger footing for blagging an OOW course out of your employers , eventually.

I guess at the end of the day you have to follow the money but I would have thought the AB was better paid?

Well I am an AB anyway and have only been working on coded boats past 2 years after 10 years on MN vessel, i have done a OOW course and done and passed all exams and courses etc but I have had a problem with watchkeeping time ie need 6 months in the laster 12 months on vessels over 80gt or 24mtr etc

So I am hoping a job on the big boats will please the MCA and I can do my OOW oral!!

I have my Master 200gt oral on friday, anyone done it?
