Accessing messages on iPhone app

As per title, probably just me but I can't find how to see notifications or messages on the iPhone app.
I see a red dot on top right but when clicked doesn't show me what it is or how to get to messages?? Any advice would be appreciated, Tim.

If you use the native Tapatalk app instead of the cut down RIBnet branded version you get all the features.

Do you have the "hamburger" menu icon on the top right of the screen? You should get a list of options including PMs.

Is it an old version of Tapatalk? They used to do a cut down free version and a paid for version.

The current version is free and fully featured, with the option to pay to not see adverts.

this one was updated dec 2016
its the only one that comes up when you search ribnet

Yes, no updates available and no other apps on App Store, seems to let me in if I get directed from a notification from a locked phone, once I read the message and go back to main menu there's no sign of messages, top right I get a red dot to obviously indicating there's a message or notification but when I click on it, nothing, just the same menu as mentioned above.

Try searching for Tapatalk instead of RIBnet.

Thanks John. This answer is by way of the Tapatalk app. Thanks the menu is far bigger and allows access to messages.
