Copying text

John,

Seem to have lost the ability to right click and copy text when wanting to put multiple quotes into a post. Any ideas?

Pete

Ben hi, normally run c/cleaner every couple of days and the MOD Network at work gives the same as at home on the laptop. Here is screen shot showing the paste option greyed out but even trying to copy a quote from someone else the copy option isn't there.

Looking at that menu you don't seem to have any text selected to copy. What do you get when you select some text then right click?

I'm pretty confident that it's not a RIBnet issue as it works fine for me in Firefox and IE.

Pete , is the laptop at home a work laptop ?

Another possibility, is I believe the copy functionality can be disable by the network admins using a group policy.

Other than that, I give up

I wish, you have a better chance of borrowing the crown jewels at the moment than using an MOD laptop off site, thanks to a Naval CPO in Birmingham .

Thats what I was thinking, although it can be done by writing the quote in long hand with the quotes etc.

I get the same thing with the Enhanced WYSIWYG Editor enabled - no copy option when you right click.

It works fine with the standard editor selected (bottom of the options page in User CP)

The other way around it is to select the text and use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl-C for copying and Ctrl-V for pasting.

OK, I've managed to reproduce it. It's an Internet Explorer issue -- works fine in Firefox.

Alternatively you can change by clicking on this button in the editor:

Ah I think I have worked out what you are getting at... The Left and Right justify icon on the WYSIWYG editor are wired up back to front.
