Have my eyes gone funny....
..... or has Ribnet gone a bit funky in the last few hours? Subtle tone changes to the outlines and a strange quicklink box on the forum home page. Very smart.

The blue looks quite cool but Im not so sure about the box on the right taking up a massive column of space!

Don't like that box. Too "bitty", and takes space from the important stuff...
...and black text on a graded background: just no. (Try reading it on a laptop screen at a suboptimal angle for a start).
Just my £0.02 worth.

Have to agree the box on the right is a really stupid idea.
The new look is nice, but appears to have slowed the site right down to a crawl for me on my slow connection out here in the sticks.
Nasher.

On my other forum we describe it as "reading off a bog roll"!
There is an option in the User CP to turn it off ... but it doesn't work!!

Box?
I got a huge blank space, but no boxes or subliminal text......
Will test it with the dial-up tonight!

It will be here to stay, and will be the default view. From what I have seen on other forums, I expect that it becomes less offensive over time (and in the future for new signups who haven't seen it any other way).
In the meantime you can easily switch it off here:

I can live with it Boss. While our NAC's are busy stripping out the old fireplaces and Queen Anne tubs, would you ask 'em if I could have an "embarrassed" smiley pls?
