Maybe you're set up for deleting cache and cookies every time you shut down........you can change this in preferences.
The handheld devices are generally defaulting to a slightly different mobile tech which keeps these enabled.

OK, the idea is to keep cookies enabled. Not so good for the things you don't want others to see but essential to stay logged on to the things you want to see.
Depends on whether others are using the same machine.
The thing with iphone and ipad is that generally it's only one user, that's why the defaults keep the cookies.

Yes, it is only historical cookies that I have deleted, and so far seems to have done the trick - tepmting fate or what

Removed the app from the iphone and reinstalled.
The same numbers are still attatched to the icon............in fact they've just gone up.

I was having exactley the same problems but all seems to be fine since we deleted and reinstalled the APP never had any problems with pc either so i,m happy
