Logging out

Don't know if it is just me but can't seem to log out. Each time I go back I am already there. Even switched off the PC but no I am already there. Now this is not good cos I am going to get accussed of spending to much time on the net, like day and night

I am going to try and log out now and will "log on" this evening

Who said that...

.....? Well as I key this reply I can assure you you're not online. What I think you may not have realised is that "cookies" have planted themselves on your computer so, whenever you hit Ribnet on your favourites pop down menu you are automatically logged in. Are you with me ? If not we'll have to rely upon others as that's about as far as my computer knowledge will take me.

Andre, you're definitely not logged in as I type this! If you have set your preferences to remember you when you log back in then you won't be prompted for your user name and password.

There is a "log out" link at the top right of each page if you want to log out completely.

can't seem to log out...

There is a problem, as I found that I couldn't log Louise off...

However, I used this workaround....
(Instructions for IE6.0)
1. Click on "Tools" and then on "Internet Options" on the internet Explorer menu bar.
2. In the Internet Options dialog box, click on the "Settings" button.
3. In the Settings dialog box, click on the "View Files" button.
4. Your PC's hard disk may chunter away for a few minutes...
5. The "Temporary Internet Files" folder will be displayed.
6. You need to find the RIBnet cookie (OK you could delete them all, but you may prefer to keep useful ones!). I located it by clicking on the "Type" column heading and scrolling down to the "Text Documents" then found a file called Cookie:richard@www.rib[1].txt which I deleted.
7. Close the "Temporary Internet Files" folder.
8. Click the "Cancel" button on all dialog boxes.
9. I can't find the new cookie though!?!

'ope this 'elps

Actually there is an easier way

I've added a little script that will help you to easily delete all your RIBnet cookies which will enable you to logout when all else fails!

Oh well, looks like she's broken her computer and you'll have to buy her a new one!
