Thanks for letting us know. Everything seems to be working.g fine for me. Can you confirm:
- browser you are using
- if you have cleared cookies
- if you have tried a different machine

If you don't fancy the Grocer's approach - then the instructions will be something like this
In IE, go to Tools -> Internet Options -> General.
--> Settings.
--> View Files.
Select the cookie you want to delete. (you probably have multiple rib.net cookies (I have 8) and check for All about rigid inflatable boats -- for RIB enthusiasts and all rigid inflatable boat users too (I have another 7!)
On the File menu, click Delete.
Click OK.
I don't have IE on this machine so that a mixture of memory and google guessing so exact names may be different.
I would then close and restart IE before trying to open ribnet again. Can you tell us what error you get, if it will let you go to the site but not login etc.

Ian, if you're still having problems, I will happily take a look at your computer and take a look (I think I did this before for some website troubles you were having)? I will PM you with my number, call me if you would like me to help sort.
Regards
Ben

RIBnet access.
From 1500hrs yesterday until 0800hrs this morning I couldn't access the forum, all my other websites were fine. I sent emails to a couple of RIBnet members and they had no problems. Was it just me!! or has anyone else had the same problem ?? ADMIN please don't let it be this long again, I had to sit watching TV with the mrs most of the evening. luckily I managed to escape to the pub for the last hour.

Not just you.
So what's changed between about 8pm on Saturday evening and 10am Sunday?
Following the issues straight after the 'upgrade' my access to Rib.net has been fine.
Over the weekend I was browsing and posting OK until we went out Saturday evening, then whilst checking the weather etc Sunday morning before we went out for the day I couldn't connect to Rib.net despite everything else being normal.
Sunday evening all my other browsing was completely normal, other forums, ebay, email, banking, absolutely everything completely normal, but I couldn't get anywhere near Rib.net.
I sent another member a text to see if he was having the same issue, and he replied that everthing was OK for him, so I did a google search for Rib.net and viewed the latest cashed page, which showed that there appeared to be normal activity.
I've managed to connect at work this morning which is how I'm posting this, but right up to @1am I still couldn't connect at home by IE or Firefox.
IE is telling me - Oops! Internet Explorer could not connect to www rib net
Firefox is telling me - The connection has timed out. The server at www rib net is taking too long to respond.
Again, ALL my other browsing is NORMAL.
Can one of the administrators please help.
Why should I have this trouble with Rib.net when all my other browsing is completely normal?
Am I the only one? or am I lucky to have access at work and all the other people denied access can't connect and speak for themselves?
Have the tech team being messing again?
Nasher.

Nasher, you are not the only one, Kerny and C2 have been having issues (and possibly others who haven't found a way to share the issue). I've merged the two threads so its clear you are all in the same boat.
Kerny - has it now started working on a machine which was previously failing or did you post that from a different computer (as per Nasher at work)?

If someone can give me remote access to there machine that's not working (I can give you a link to allow this), I can take a look - I am going into a meeting shortly, but will be free around lunch time.
If anyone is willing, please PM me and ill give you details to allow remote access ( via team viewer - TeamViewer - Free Remote Access and Remote Desktop Sharing over the Internet) - theres no install to do, and when you close the program thats it, remote access no longer available.

I was unable to access Ribnet for over a day and did not change any settings, I have not cleared cookies and now the site is accessable again, so I guess changes have been made?

Maybe our new owners "The Septic Tanks" are not who they say they are, they could be from another planet, "Aliens from afar" who have picked our names out at random and the miissing days or hours have really been abductions and have happened while we have been sitting happily at our PC's reading a particular post on Mental Health issues.
Mork calling willk.....

Nasher - can you run a traceroute and post or e-mail the results? Maybe we can see where the hang is?

Hi.
I've run a trace and posted the result below.
It's actually back to normal tonight, so is possibly going to be of little value.
Apologies, I should have thought to run it yesterday when I couldn't connect.

Glad to see this may be a thing of the past. If it happens again, gathering this info is extremely helpful.
