Wow. I get distractred by work & life for a bit and come back to this!!!!!!!

What's all this talk of Northerners? It's all daan saaaf frae whaur aam sat!

We have a few Joshua trees on this forum......

OK, thread jokes covered.....
Joking aside it firstly worries me that having been away for a while duie to life getitng in the way of a good time, after checking out the ERR & S*IB cruise threads then diving straight into the engine bit and offering an opinion on non OEM sparlk plug leads, I am drawn to this...

This is what I love about the internet...... Everyone is a faceless UserID, so normal "social restraint" seems to fall by the wayside, and so the gain is turned up massively on all normal emotional expressions & reactions. Add some banter to the mix, and it's no flippin' wonder this kind of nonsense surfaces with monotonous regularity.
Our tempraments & humour are as varied as our boats, cruising grounds etc. - There is always another opinion!

So, the sooner we all step back, imagine we are talking to someone face to face when typing and remember what brought us here in the first place (Boats filled with air!) the better.

So, while I'm online here - I saw a really good deal on Bbay - should I sell my decrepit Humber with its premix 2- stroke for this amazing priced new PVC rib with bench seats, an Parson electric 250 HP outboard and a free Defender thrown into the package to tow it with? It's only £5250

It's good to be back!

If it was me I'd pay a little bit more and try to get the seller to keep the defender......

Nah! take the Defender, cover it in waxoyl & stick it in a garage & forget about it. Use the boat for a few years, wear it out, dig out the Defender, clean it up, sell it, buy a brand new boat of your choice with the proceeds & retire on the difference
