I've just got this when trying to reply to a thread. I've seen a few very similar messages over the past couple of days...

I can't log out. I keep getting connection error and I can't download threads from current at first ask. I not milking anything I just wants old system back on iPhone. An upgrade is only successful if it delivers this one obviously has glitches. Also keep getting parse errors and when answering threads it freezes. Over the piece I have many apps that upgrade and they do automatically with no problems. This one is not performing!! Sent from my iPhone using Rib.net

I think this is a server upgrade/change, not a forum software upgrade. I might be wrong, but I think Social Knowledge have moved server farms. There might be a period of "adjustment" until things bed in. The benefits will be longer lasting, I hope!

But the old server was starting to creek. Think of it like a new engine on your rib, most people (except 9d280) prefer to replace the old girl before the pain of rebuilding from shrapnel. In the process you might find the fancy dials on the dash aren't working but whilst it is frustrating and I am sure will get fixed in the grand scheme of things it's not the end of the world.

Yup, 9d280 wouldn't thank you for a new engine - I mean, it's an unknown - never done a day's work in it's life!

Right - logged in on laptop.
I log in - all OK .
I post a reply - it shows as me being logged out and goes into a loop refreshing the same page I just tried to post on
I 'fix' that by clicking on another thread - the refresh stops , but now I'm showing as logged out . but then I try and post and I'm logged in again..,,,,,

For those of you with login / logged out issues, please tic the 'remember me box when you login. I think that you are being logged out at page changes because the login cookie is being purged by your system.

Or I don't want to always be logged in as others may use my laptop?
What's changed? Hardware or software?

But if the new dials don't work properly some people may just give up and use someone else's rib instead, or not bother ribbing at all.
Ribnet is a fantastic resource because of the people using it. If you make it difficult to use we may loose some of the participants.

Tried to log out and it won't let me. Parse error comes up. When I tap on some threads it comes up with a blank screen. I have to cancel and go in again this is the se for loading pics. Your fix about deleting and reloading app is useless if you can't log out. There are clearly still problems. I know they will get sorted eventually. I thought you would like to know anyway
