Following certain recent political developments, the Admin Team have spent a considerable amount of time mopping up and I would like to remind our members that the subjects in the thread title are to be avoided where at all possible. The reason is simple - they lead to heated discussion, followed by personal abuse and finally someone ends up getting called a Nazi. I'd like to add Etecs to that list as well but hey ho!
Currently the format is that a member posts some guff about, let's say "Sexit" and we then have to remove it and send a polite reminder to the member. The member then pens a snotty PM back saying how it isn't really about Sexit and then huffs. A few days later they post even more guff about "Sexit" and we have to remove it and send them a snotty warning back. Some will then post MORE guff about "Sexit" and we agree to let them have a quiet spell offline to reflect on the error of their ways. This is often interpreted as a "Ban" but it's really just "Time out"
I for one have more things to be doing so I'm just putting it out there that I won't be doing any more polite PMs and I'll be moving straight to the 24 hour Time outs.
