Thanks willk!
Just a quick note to let everyone know that after six years of hard work behind the scenes willk has decided to renounce his magical moderating powers and return to being a RIBnet muggle so he can actually spend more time boating.
Thanks for all your help, and I hope you'll be hanging round for a while yet

Thought RIBnet was a bit like the Foreign Legion, you sign up, but can never leave?
Willk has been a great admin and consistently fair when things have gone off topic.

I am like you Willk .. (or perhaps you are like me ?)
And now prefer to spend most my time on the water rather than post on forums.
Enjoy your days afloat .. and who knows ... we may meet again ... some day ... on some far off place.
Best wishes from
The Gurnard

Yes indeed, thanks WillK.
It's easy as casual users of the site to forget that a few people commit a lot of personal time to this site.

I've only been around here a short time but you've been one of the 'constants' on this forum to me. Thankyou.
Good luck, and look forward to reading many more posts from you.

Thanks all for the kind words. I'm not going anywhere - sorry Piggy
There were a few other things that I needed to spend more time on, oddly boating isn't an issue - 70hrs on the engine so far this year and I got paid for 50 of them. I'll certainly be seeing a few of you on the water if I'm spared, in fact, I might be in the Isles next week.
I always say "you can never go back" and I don't suppose this will be any different - but I must say I have very fond memories of Bigmuz7 and I waiting for Poly to slip down the pub for his habitual half of shandy on a Friday at 2230hrs so we could unleash chaos for an hour - kept him looking lively
Now that was living!

Well, that's the thing, we don't know.
We had a big cruise planned (the kind you NEED a satphone for) but some sad circumstances have nixed that idea for this year. If the WX and the home front allows, we might rip up to Skye or Harris, dunno. You out on the western front?
