Upload of photo's to Rib.net (Problem)

Just uploaded a few pictures to an album, and a couple of them were taken in portrait mode, these have uploaded, however they are 90 degrees and lying on their side in the album.

question - is there a way of correcting this within the album ?

Here's another for you P. I've just posted a photo in the Searider Manual thread in the bilges. When I click on the photo, I get the Ribnet login page. It happened a few weeks ago, but I thought it had been resolved

yes but Chrome is FREE and gives you a feeling of indignant superiority - so it must be a dichotomy for you!

The forum software tends to do this to portrait pics being uploaded from the "apps". Maybe stick to computer uploads for these...

They show the correct way on my PC , are you saying the website orientates pictures to landscape irrespective of any editing that may be done ?

Cameras nowadays often know which way up they are, and they tag photos as 'portrait' or 'landscape'. Image viewers sometimes read that and rotate portrait photos automatically, but browsers don't. So portrait photos might need to be opened, rotated and saved before uploading them.

There you go - I wondered if that might be possible but didn't know - I certainly like that theory! I rotate all mine "manually" - and reduce them to around 300k before uploading them.
