150 Verados and Suzie's

I don't know whether I have missed something, but I cannot find any comments on 150HP four strokes anywhere on this site.

Does anyone have any comparative experience?

Have Just booked a new 150 suzuki in for initial 20 hr service..pretty boring actually I think now days they are much like cars..it's on a 5.8 rib, burns 1.2 ltrs per NM - has not used any oil, bags of go everywhere in the range.. very quite..the 140's a little smoother a little quiter a little slower..

sampled both 140 and 150 on the same boat Ribcraft 5.85 the 140 although sweeter marginally, felt like it was trying, the 150 just produced what felt like 50% more shove anywhere in the range. both boats sat with the same amount of tube touching the water at the transom.

as for weight I also have a 25kg 6hp on the transom maybe it makes a difference..maybe not, with the extra go it's irrelevent.

trying both boats back to back...no one i think would buy the 140, if they are after more of an effortless performance (800cc does make the difference),however if they are looking for a smoother/marginallyquiter ride the 140 may be the way to go..
