They invented Welders powered simply by WATER DECADES ago!.
Where by the the Hydrogen is separated from H2-0 (clues in the name) and used as fuel!!!....little or no immisions and ...a little water vapour.

If....When that happens for vehicular applications.Companys like Tesla ect ect will be yesterday's news!...once they DO the proper R&D into THAT branch of renewables and share the technology ....we will see some real progress!

...Or JUST maybe the "forces that be" and our huge international business...including the Far from de-funct Petro-Chemical Giants! and consortiums want to milk the Masses for every penny of every incremental step along the way!?
By the way ....while we in the oh so sanctimonious virtuous "West"...Navel Gaze and berate each other ...China and India are BOTH opening one NEW COAL fired Powerstion EACH per week!!.....often to power the Factories making the Batteries and Electric Cars and components for US!

I agree about India and China but what they are doing now is no different to what we did 100 years ago during our own industrial revolution.

There is No argument about China and India's energy generating strategies ....or potential of Hydrogen separation....

That is IF you don't swallow ALL the Eco Guff/Fluff which changes with the wind!...(remember Gordon Brown telling everyone to drive Diesel?)..
