1992 Mariner 30hp electric start issue

Hi All

I stupidly reversed the polarity on my battery when I was re installing it at the weekend and now I can't use the electric start, the motor still fires on the pull start. I don't think I'm getting power to the remote as I don't here any beep on the key turning. What's the thoughts? CDI busted or is there a fuse in the engine/remote I can't see? Cheers Joe

Yup. Check the voltage across your battery with the motor running. Don't turn on or connect any electronics til you've made sure it's ok.
