1997 Yamaha 40hp leg swap!!?

Hello, I have a lovely 1997 Yamaha 2stroke 40hp, serial No: 6H4-40VEO-L. My issue is its a long shaft! I now need a short shaft, does anyone have either the opposite problem to me and we could swap legs... or a scrapped one that I could buy the whole leg from. Call 07815853196

There's a photo at this link:

Thanks
Nick

Long shot maybe , i thought the older yams were same as the tohatsu 40 and 50 2 strokes . I converted my tohatsu 50 to a long shaft last year , i have all the short shaft parts. My engine is almost new and I had to get all parts from japan there was no other choice and it cost about £800 to do the job .

Hi, ok, so what your saying is I could convert mine using your parts. How much would you want for the bits?

Nick what iam saying is you need to do some resaearch to see if its possible . Its no good talking about my parts if they won't fit . As i said the parts cost me a lot as they are only available from japan and on a long order time so i would have to value them at about half price £400
