2 stroke oil

I need to get some more 2s oil for my yam hpdi.

The stuff that's in the reservoir is yamalube but some say to get a synthetic oil that's equivalent rated to tcw-3 as it smokes less.

Has anyone used anything different and if so what manufacturer please and where from.

Thanks in advance

You shouldn't be getting excessive smoke with an autolube system.
Most folk go with Quicksilver premium, it's the safe option if you don't want to be a guinea pig..... :-)

RIBase
If it's TCW3 compliant then any manufacturer will do. Yamlube and Quicksilver are excellent brands.

Used Quicksilver in mine but also Morris Aqua Max 2 TCW3 if I find it in the 5-litre size on my visits to Trago Mills Falmouth.
No problems with either.

Yamalube is a good oil, but it has an eye watering stink in the exhaust fumes ............

I used to use quicksilver most of the time which has a much sweeter smell .......... the best oil I used was ELF 2T in 25L drums, which I used to buy in France when on holiday ...... really cheap but very good.
