I would definitely install the speedo.... offers you more and better features when combined with the tacho....mine reads the speed from nmea out on the plotter....

I have a black faced Smartcraft SC1000 speedo and Revcounter here in good nick, was going to be a replacement on the Ballistic but the guy tried to bargain so didn't tell him about them-or any of the other parts I was going to pass on.
Ideally they'd go together though.
They display fuel burn, temp,trim, water pressure, engine hours, plus alarms. Speedo runs from a NMEA 0183 input.
