2006 Evinrude Etec Spark Plugs

Hi,
I got a 2006 etec 150, it was serviced two years ago by a main dealer, and it's now
running very slightly rough just above idle speed, but fine whilst at full chatter.
I'm thinking of changing the plugs early than recommended, have watched the utube links on mapping etc. but the plugs that are in my outboard currently are not the same code as recommended on the eci.
There code number is xc12pepb and not qc10pepb as printed on label, does anyone know if that's correct? I can see that the current plugs are cheaper to buy, and wonder whether the dealer has used them because of that??
Any ideas?
Thanks, Mike

qc10pepb is the only plug you should use according to the charts...

As Chris says, they aren't the specified plugs. Have you had them out & checked the gaps. If you do, be sure to replace them back into the same cylinder & check the indexing.

Thanks very much, I'm now trying to contact my main dealer to find out why he put different coded plugs in, it might have been done by mistake!
Thanks once again for your info.
Mike
