2006 Yamaha 40 2 stroke. Identification

I have bought a Zodiac pro 420. 2007. It has come with what is evidently one of the last Yamaha 40hp 2 strokes made (only 163 hours) . Long shaft. Electric start autolube Power tilt and trim. My problem is I can’t find any match for it’s model number etc on line.

I have printed a Yamaha owners manual pdf for the 40 50 hp 2 stroke US version as that’s the only one I can find.
The model is a 40 YETO.( note not a V it is a Y) 68PK. 1001350. It says it’s a 2006 but model 07.

Does anyone have any link or knowledge of this motor. As google has failed me and I want to find the correctvserive manual/parts manual
Thanks in advance.

I had to look mine up recently and found it difficult, you have to keep going at it, there are numerous sites, do searches for yamaha outboard spare parts diagram, eventually you may find the correct one.

There should be one or two letters before the 40 which is the engine type, then the 40 which is obviously the horse power, then a letter which is the engine generation 'y' then the E would be electric start, then the T would be power trim and tilt, then there should be a letter for the outboard transom height/shaft height I think.

The following link is the best ive used, needs adobe flash to run properely, scroll down and click on the online parts link.

Yamaha Online Parts Catalogue - Yamaha Motor UK

select from fields drop downs, outboard, model 40Y 2007
