2017 Honda BF60 minor rpm shift issue

Hi group,
I have a 16' Brig with Honda BF60.
When I'm at low rpm's like 1000 or so to stay at a slow no wake speed, my shifter will fall back to a lower rpm. Basically I just keep a little pressure on it with my thumb to hold in place, but if I let go, I drops down to even less.
Is there a simple adjustment to hold it at such a low rpm?
Thank you for any assistance.
Rick

Welcome to Rib.net

Page 20 (22 of the PDF), there is a diagram showing the "control lever friction adjuster". If it is not on the front it is a small slotted part near the kill switch. Make small adjustments.

See my post above as that is for a remote steering wheel/throttle setup.

I saw the remote box on page 20 but its different than mine. I didn't see any adjustments on mine. Maybe inside where would be really tough to access. Tank takes up most space.
My key is on a panel to the left of steering wheel.
Also, is it off that my trim button is on the outside of lever, not at thumb?

There should be an adjustment screw maybe under a plug. Pictures from all angles would be good, with part numbers being excellent too.

With the right hand busy with the throttle, the left hand turns the key

Port side shifter/throttle, for the left hand. Mine is the same. Kinda an annoyance though.

You don't want it to tight or to lose. I like mine so that it gradually creeps back if Im running around 5000rpm rather than holding that constant rpm. It makes you get used to having your hand on the power to control instantly when it's needed in more demanding conditions.
