20hp for 4.3m rib?

Thinking of getting a 4.3m rib with no console powered by a 20hp tiller four stroke Honda. Would that be enough power to get the boat to plane with just myself?

I would say too small why such a big boat for just you with such a small motor? 3.5m ok but a 4.3 more like a 40hp also with no console all the weight is at the stern you and the motor so will be nose up trying to get on plane.........

I run 20hp on a 3.9 heavy solid hull. You’ll get on the plane fine, one up with no console I’d expect you to be in the low 20knots. Would more be better?

for info suzuki have some test figures for a sib and rib
brig eagle 380 weight inc engine 273 kg df 25 hp 10 1/4 x 13 prop wind force 4 fuel 43ltrs crew 160 kg equip 20kg 20.2 kts at 6000 rpm. fuel use 10 lph

suzumar ds 360 al weight inc engine 112 kg df 20 hp 9 1/4 x 10 prop wind 3-4 fuel 8ltrs crew 75 kg equip 40 kg 20 kts at 6000 rpm fuel use 6.12 lph

my guess is 20 kts possibly 21 with the right prop and weight distribution depending on boat weight
