Guys
we have on order twin Verado 250 which we are going to put on our demo Parker 900 (the black one which at the moment has twin Mercury Optimax 150) The delivery of the engines is July 2004 so in August I will be able to advise the Forum first hand of the performance of these new babies.
Andre

Good Luck Andre!
If they are half as good as Mercury would have us believe, then they are pretty awesome!
I/we look forward to hearing your views.
Regards,
Chris.

Not happy with my 300HPDI anymore, one of them brooke down the other day after 105 hours.
The portside engine ran warm and the lowest cylinder on starboard side broke down (dont know the word in english but can you say crackilated maybe)
Have to change the block and powerhead.
It`s know laying on Yamaha`s table in Japan and i am waiting for answer if it will go on the warranty or not.
Yamaha took some pics etc and was very wondered why it overheated, they saw some signs (colour has disapered from shaft) wich means that there been some cavitation, but they also say that the engines was perfect installed, probably something wrong with engine from begining. There has`nt been any overheating on the starboard engine.
They been having some probs before with overheating but they putted the cooling futher down on the engines. so it will be interesting to se what happends.

Glen, the max I've seen is 46kts. Considering dropping the engine a notch, there may be a bit more to come!

Oh yes!!! Budget permitting, I would be hard pushed to buy any other make as a replacement. Phantom Evo looks tempting, Leisure version of BananaShark promises to be sensational, but Graham has developed the product so well from a good base. If you fancy a close look a '97 RIB in superb condition, you're welcome to join us on the Littlehampton cruise on Sunday.

I hope you get your engines running as soon as possible. A friend of mine owns a boat with twin HPDI 300 along with his bigger boat powered by 3x300 HPDI. The boat with single 1x300 HPDI is on order and soon ready. He has had no problems yet, but I will tell you soon if I hear anything. I just visited Estonia with 3x300 boat; going nice, but props need some adjustment, so full speed wasn't possible.

Hi Pitkis;
Have 2 friends with singel 300 and they are running very good to.
I think there`s been something wrong with engine from begining because the other engine is running great.
I use the Yamahas pro series props and they are great for my use.
12 people onboard and i still can do 57,8 knots.
My engine will be ready end of next week.
