40 / 50 hp Tiller steer options

Looking for a new engine in the above hp range.

Brochure information is sometimes unclear, and can't get hold of information from some local dealers.....

Any information on hp options and UK availability would be appreciated and any feed back on the various pro / cons of various makes.

What boat will it be used for? How important a factor will the weight of the outboard be to that boat? The weight of 50s can range from about 155 lbs (carbeureted 2 stroke Tohatsu) to + 240 lbs (ETECs).
