5/16" ISO fuel hose wanted

I'm in urgent need of 10 meters of 5/16" Fuel hose at a resonable cost. It would be terriffic if anyone can help suggest somewhere to buy it this weekend in the Solent area (Portsmouth Fareham Soton).

I'll try the usual motor factors tomorrow.

up here in scotland i've found halfords very good for stuff like that rather than the chandlers ....its usually kept behind the couter at the spares section on rolls ....not really a place i expected to get it but they did ...also found they keep rolls of heater/rad hose in a good range of sizes as well ....handy for flexible bilge pump hosing

cheers

Ian

Not for your boat is it Andy? I would think you need 3/8" if it is.

I rang Halfords up Ian and they quoted me £4.60/meter but would only supply a meter at a time. When I asked why, the guy told me it was something to do with health and safety and gave me some crock about not using any more than a meter in a run, that's why car manufacturers us steel pipe work.

I remembered a company in Portsmouth called hyphose, they quoted me £3/meter less 20% so I'm off there in a min.

Thanks guys.

Andy I would fit 3/8" I think that is what is supposed to be fitted to the larger Evinrudes. The danger is that your engine can run too lean at full throttle and burn a hole in a piston as a result.

I only fitted what they recommended, I'm sure the handbook says 5/16 too. The connectors and tubing on the outboard supported this.

Wurth do a good range of hose in a reel - just need a friendly garage to order it if you haven't got an account.
