where's Fenlander live, he could come up here too.
I'll put you both up in a local hotel
Show me if the sib is any good and what we should be doing
Me and Pam my wife have our course on Tuesday at Tees Barrage
Thanks Jeff, maybe you might want to come and chaperone us?
i'm off round syke monday probably one of my last trips this year work getting in the way but get your boat sorted this winter and look on here for the SIB outings wild camps usually for the weekend great fun and you will learn lots. and put a trip up see if anyone's available for a day say out of whitby.i would come up if available
Pilgrim sadly I'm not really in the position to get away for sibbing in other areas (live in west Cambridgeshire). We struggle to get out as much as we'd like. Our two weeks summer holiday packs in more days on the water than the whole of the rest of the year... and then the snatched weekend opportunities are very much a family thing with Mrs Fenlander and one/other/both daughters.
So my passing on of experience/advice is largely forum based.
As Jeff says there are meet ups through the year... often more towards the north... so you should be well placed to get in on one.
I'm a subcontract Captain for a major uk airline.
I'm prob going to retire next year, no more fun, too automated.
But I have my own plane, a Seneca twin engined turbo, 6 seater.
I have other businesses, but want to spend time relaxing, boating, fishing, diving
Re engine pics in many ways being the 2cyl twin with a single carb makes it nice and easy to maintain. As I've said I'm not familiar with that exact model Suzuki but servicing requirements are pretty generic for OBs of that era and size range.
pilgrim23 why not join tees and Hartlepool yacht club you could launch there from the slip and most weekends there's folks out sailing and whatever there's a sheltered bay to do some practising in im often boating out of there if you needed a chaperone on your first trips out if you want to come down and have a look pm me and ill send you my tel no .
