Age of Suzuki 115 4-stroke

Hi,

Can anyone tell me the age of this Suzuki 115F. The serial number is 11501F151088.

I've been told that the age is denoted by the second number after the "F" - which would make it an 05. However it is on an 01 boat and I can't see any evidence that the engine has been changed - so I'm thinking maybe it's the first number after the "F" making it an 01?

It certainly looks very clean. So before I take the core plug out to see if it's date stamped, are their any bright sparks who might be able to clarify???

Pulled core plug which was dated 2001. Apparently second digit only counts after 2010.
