Avon Searider 4m new steering

Hi,

I have to replace the steering on my Avon Searider 4m deluxe due to a broken cog.

The old unit is a Teleflex SH5023, but can this easily be replaced with a Teleflex Safe T QC? If anyone has any other recommendations it would be good to know.

Also, the cable I have is an ultraflex 3.00, but the new websites list cables in ft. Should I go for the 9ft or 10ft?

I currently don't have access to my boat hence the questions as I want to order on line and have it sent to the boat's location.
