Bending fuel pipe

I've had to fit a new piece of fuel pipe from the internal tank to the tap.
It's only about 3” long but I have to put a 90⁰ bend in it.
I fitted it yesterday and zip tied it but overnight the bend has kinked.
Looking for some advice how to overcome the kinking.
Thanks

Try warming it with a heat gun then fit or fit a longer piece with a loop

Yeah couple of options to try thanks.
It's a poor design though for such a small area

I’m guessing that the OEM part is a moulded shaped piece.

Looks forced. Try cutting a shorter piece and applying heat.

Cut the pipe shorter so it has a larger radius to the turn

It looks to me like the bottom barb screws in.

Get a 90 degree barb so you have a straight piece between them.

It does look a bit long doesn't it. Is this an OEM pipe - as Davie suggests below, it looks like it should really be a 90 pipe.

(Be careful with heat now, if it's got fuel in it)

Select the name of the person you want to message (if you have enough posts?)

Left click on Davie's name in the left column. You should then get various headings incl PM.
