Best 175-200 hp.(for a Atlantis rib?)

http://www.atlantisribs.com/

The rib is rated for 165 hp, but a 175-200 hp must be nice on this rib.

Suzuki:
The new 175 (4-cyl), light as a 2-stroke. The fuel economy must be good.

Yamaha:
F-series? To heavy?!
V-Max 150 or 200 (did they build them with 635 transom hight?)
HPDI 150 or 200.

Evinrude:
E-Tec 150, 175 or 200 (maybe HO).

Mercury:
Optimax? any good? Nice weight but fueleconomy and speed?

Honda:
Probably nice but heavy.

For me the Evinrude e-tec 150,175 and 200 or the Suzuki 175 looks like the best combinations. Or a 4-stroke Suzuki 175.

Stupid thinking?

90% of usingtime will be in the archepelago of stockholm, no big wawes like uk coust. And I want a boat fast like a .

Errrm.... I had a good look at Atlantis's website.

I hope that his Ribs are better than CAN's trailers-he's trying to sell them as his own. It wouldn't fill me with confidence if he thought CAN's trailers were OK.

Don't take my word for it-have a look at the RIB 1st!

The reason I say what I did about the trailers is that every bend is cut/welded rather than formed. Even the ones on main stressed spars are like it.

The RIB may well be exactly what you want-but I just wouldn't buy a trailer from Atlantis to go with it.

I've been on an Atlantis rib and must say I was impressed with the ride and handling, and the build quality looked to be faultless. It was well rigged, and everything on board worked as it should!

Plenty of storage in the pods, console and bench, and the stainless was reminiscent of Ribcraft in both styling and quality.

I've also seen a CAN trailer, and didn't fancy it!

The boat looks good but i will not buy it before a testdrive. Do you think it´s crasy to go with a 200-250 hp for this boat. It´s for fun not fueleconomy, the hull is a racehull from k4+. Do you think e-tec 200-250 is crasy on this boat.

Why not ask Atlantis? They will know better than anyone. The Evinrude 250 is quite light for it's size - same weight as the 200 I think.

Offcause i will ask atlantis before i will buy, but i want to here your coments on it also.

The weight of the 200-250 e-tec is 230-240 kg.
Compare to a suzi 175 at 190 kg.
