What is the biggest outboard engine?

If you mean in HP, and available to the general public, then I would say it's a Mercury Promax 300X, produces in excess of 320hp at the powerhead!

The biggest outboard I have ever seen exists in Bordeau at the Conservatiore(boat museum). It is about 11/12ft tall, diesel powered and goes on the back of a barge. Dam economical on the back of a rib, twin installation likely to make a sinker.

biggest Sib

The biggest SIB is probably one of the zodiac or avon military ones. The HD MkVI is 7ms

there was an ex military inflatable for sale in buy a boat.

It had 3 foot diameter tubes! Dunno about its length though.
